Visa and travel documentation
Learn about the documents you might need to enter South Africa here. If you are unsure about what documents or visa you need, we encourage you to contact the South African Embassy in your permanent country of residence. If your country does not have a South African Embassy, please contact the nearest one.
We encourage you to submit your visa application as early as possible. Visa applications can take up to 8-12 weeks to be processed.
Should you require a visa invitation letter for your visa application, please email the Summit Secretariat at registration@7thgmhsummit.org. Please note that invitation letters for visa can only be processed once registration fees are settled in full.
Getting to Cape Town
Airport: Cape Town International Airport is located approximately 18km from the Cape Town Central Business District.
Cape Town International Airport does not have a train stop or an active bus service. The best way to get into the city is via taxi or Uber.

Safety
Cape Town is a major, modern cosmopolitan South African city. As such, we would advise travelers to exercise the same level of vigilance they would exercise when visiting any major city in the world - avoid walking alone at night and keep valuables secure. For more information check website here.
Weather
November marks the late spring season, with warm and pleasant weather. Expect daytime temperatures between 15–25°C (59–77°F), with plenty of sunshine and occasional breezes—perfect for outdoor activities.
Currency
The local currency is the South African Rand (ZAR); credit cards are widely accepted, though it's helpful to carry some cash for smaller vendors or taxis.
