Rebecca Nixdorf
Rebecca Nixdorf is a Research Associate at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE), Germany, specializing in participatory and collaborative research within the Center for Psychosocial Medicine. Holding a Master’s degree in Psychology, she serves as the Deputy Head of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at UKE.
Her research focuses on global mental health, peer support, social psychiatry, and user involvement. Notably, she has contributed to the development of the UPSIDES global mental health training programme for peer support workers, collaborating with stakeholders across low-, middle-, and high-income countries.
Rebecca Nixdorf is also involved in the UPSIDES project, which aims to develop, implement, and scale up peer support in various contexts.
