Rebecca Kabuela Kanku
Rebecca Kanku is a human rights and youth activist from Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo, and a member of LUCHA, a non‑violent movement advocating for democracy, human rights, and good governance. She has organised numerous peaceful protests for social change, survived imprisonment for her activism, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Rebecca has founded initiatives supporting prisoners and women, and has been recognised internationally, including receiving the U.S. International Women of Courage Award in 2017.
