Leslie Swartz

Leslie Swartz is a clinical psychologist and holds a PhD in Psychology from University of Cape Town and a PhD in English from Stellenbosch University, where he is a Professor of Psychology. He is an A rated researcher in the National Research Foundation system and he has won a number of awards for his work. He is editor in chief of South African Journal of Science and of Scandinavian Journal of Disability Research, and was founding editor in chief of African Journal of Disability. His work focussses on disability rights, participation and access, with a focus on southern Africa. His current largest project is on language and mental health care access and quality for African migrants and refugees to South Africa.
