Kamyla Marvi Tapal

Kamyla Marvi Tapal is the Pakistan Director for the British Asian Trust. The British Asian Trust is a diaspora-led international development organization working in South Asia, founded in 2007 by HRH the former Prince of Wales and a group of visionary British Asian business leaders. In Pakistan, the British Asian Trust is delivering programmes in mental health, livelihoods for women and young people, as well as the use of social finance initiatives to drive positive change across the region. The British Asian Trust mental health programme seeks to fundamentally transform the mental health ecosystem, through integrating mental health into primary care services, implementing a nationwide campaign to destigmatise mental health with over 500 million views, and to advocating for policy change. Most recently, with support from Grand Challenges Canada, the British Asian Trust will be designing an outcomes-based financing programme for youth mental health.
