Helen Jack

Helen Jack, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Washington. She is a physician-scientist and a practising primary care physician at a prison in rural eastern Washington State. Dr. Jack’s research focuses on the integration of mental health and addiction care into low-resource primary care settings, both in the US and globally. She leads NIH-funded studies on mental health and addiction treatment in prisons in Washington State, and she has been doing research and research capacity building in Zimbabwe since 2013. Dr. Jack earned her MD from Harvard Medical School. Prior to medical school, she completed a second BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar.
