Hadeel Al Far

Ms Hadeel Al Far is the National Professional Officer for Mental Health at the WHO Jordan Country Office. A qualified mental health professional, she brings over 18 years of clinical and programmatic experience across psychiatric hospitals, outpatient clinics, and international NGOs. Her educational background spans rehabilitation, management, human rights, and mental health law. Ms Al Far oversees WHO Jordan’s mental health implementation work, including the WHO Special Initiative for Mental Health, and has co-led the national Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Technical Working Group. She co-founded Jordan’s first National Association for Mental Health Service Users, Our Step. In recognition of her contributions, she received the WHO Director-General’s Award of Excellence for advancing mental health in Jordan.
