Constance Mabia

Constance Mabia is a passionate mental health advocate and leader committed to amplifying the voices of young people and persons with lived experience in shaping mental health policy and practice. Drawing from her own journey, she approaches her work with empathy, authenticity, and a deep understanding of the importance of inclusive, community-driven solutions.

She is a country leader with the Global Mental Health Peer Network and a peer reviewer with King’s College London, bringing lived experience expertise to mental health research.

In addition to her advocacy, Constance is building her career in research and program management at the Science for Africa Foundation, as an intern, where she helps shape the Mental Health Research and Development Programme by providing support on the evidence-based and cost-effective best practices for promoting mental health to reduce stigma and discrimination.

She has also contributed to grassroots mental health initiatives in Kenya through volunteering and professional roles.

Passionate about creating safe, supportive spaces for dialogue, Constance continues to champion self-care, resilience, and meaningful engagement of young people in shaping mental health systems.
