Bernd Puschner

Prof. Dr. Bernd Puschner is a Senior Researcher and Head of the Process-Outcome Research Section at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy II, Ulm University, Germany. He earned his doctorate in psychology from Saarland University and joined Ulm University in 2003.

His research focuses on process-outcome research and global mental health, with a particular emphasis on peer support interventions for individuals with severe mental illnesses. He coordinates the EU-funded UPSIDES project, a multicenter study involving partners from Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Prof. Puschner has authored over 70 peer-reviewed articles and has been recognized with the Early Career Achievement Award from the Society for Psychotherapy Research in 2010.
